About the Event

At Greenbrae Steading we are all about getting people together and helping our local community to thrive.

We know that Scottish winters can be a challenge for many people. To help you prepare for those long months ahead we are delighted to bring you a series of talks that will help you look after yourself during the colder month.

Greenbrae Steading is a special place and we are fortunate to have attracted a number of highly skilled and qualified health and wellbeing practitioners who are really passionate about their work . They want to share their skills with the local community.

Over a series of talks they will share their expertise, ideas  and tips on how to look after yourself this coming winter and be on hand to answer any questions. The stoves will be lit and there will be time for a festive brew and mince pies afterwards.

Talk 1.

Kathryn Morrow, Complmentary Therapist

Kathryn will be chatting about a range of complementary therapies,  ranging from reflexology & massage to reiki & crystal therapy, and how they can enhance and improve our health and wellbeing.

Talk 2.

Sarah Collins, Yoga Teacher

Sarah will be sharing information about how conscious movement (like yoga) helps us to connect, release stress and experience more freedom in body and mind and about the benefits of breathwork. She'll also guide us through a few simple breath exercises so you can feel the benefits for yourself!

Kathryn is a fully qualified and insured Complementary Therapist based in Elgin, Moray, where she runs her own business, Relax Restore Rebalance in Elgin.

She originally trained as a Nurse back in 2006 and worked within different specialities throughout her career  and in 2018 and whilst working part-time as a nurse,  went to Moray College, UHI, to study for an HNC in Complementary Therapies.

After only a couple of weeks into her studies she knew that she had found her calling in life and became passionate about Complementary Therapies. She qualified in 2019 and offers a range of complementary therapies including aromatherapy massage, body massage and reflexology.

Sarah is a Yoga & Breathwork teacher and a certified Sex, Love & Relationships Coach.

Having practiced and studied yoga for over 17 years and teaching for 8, Sarah is passionate about conscious, therapeutic movement as a way to feel and heal, both physically and emotionally. Her yoga classes draw on her various and ongoing studies of yoga, tantra and therapeutic practices combined with playfulness and lightness.

Sarah's trauma-informed coaching for women and couples focuses on somatic (body) based inquiry. This allows the body's wisdom to be felt & expressed in order to gently release trauma, gain clarity around desires and move towards greater wholeness and freedom in body and mind and to experience more pleasure, aliveness and love.
