About the Event
At Greenbrae Steading we are all about getting people together and helping our local community to thrive.
We know that Scottish winters can be a challenge for many people. To help you prepare for those long months ahead we are delighted to bring you a series of talks that will help you look after yourself during the colder month.
Greenbrae Steading is a special place and we are fortunate to have attracted a number of highly skilled and qualified health and wellbeing practitioners who are really passionate about their work . They want to share their skills with the local community.
Over a series of talks they will share their expertise, ideas and tips on how to look after yourself this coming winter and be on hand to answer any questions. The stoves will be lit and there will be time for tea and cake afterwards.

The Unconscious Mind - what is it and why should you care?
In this talk Sam will outline the concept of the unconscious mind, from its beginnings in psychoanalysis to its relevance to therapy and everyday life today.
Sam Thomas - Psychodynamic Psychotherapist
Kim is an outdoor photographer and content creator with a real passion for the natural world. She uses her creative talents to inspire people to get outdoors and experience the healing benefits nature, as well as the importance of making time for their creativity.
Sam works as a psychodynamic psychotherapist, offering therapy to adults in his private practice. Alongside this he works as a counsellor in a local secondary school. He have experience of supporting people with a wide range of issues, from anxiety and depression to addiction and relationship problems, and everything in between. He also works with people who may not have a particular problem but feel that things just aren't right.
